Heartbreaking news shook Russian hockey! Only 21-year-old player of HK Noriľsk team Jegor Jadykin died tragically in the city of Salavat. According to information from the local media, referred to by portals and , the fateful moment took place before the planned hunt, which the talented athlete went on together with his grandfather. The pair were moving in the vehicle when the youth reached for the shotgun in the front seat. At that moment, the weapon accidentally fired and hit the hockey player in the face. He succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

The press brought information that Jadykin’s grandfather could not cope mentally with the loss of his grandson. He later committed suicide at the family cottage. He was supposed to leave a voice message for his relatives before he left. The devastating news of the young attacker’s death also affected his parent club HK Noriľsk, which immediately promised the survivors maximum support.
“With deep sadness and pain in our hearts, we announce that our player Yegor Jadykin lost his life in tragic circumstances. During his time at HK Noriľsk, he showed himself not only as a professional and promising player, but also as a true selfless fighter, for whom team ideals were paramount,” said the club.
Norilsk coach Sergej Golubovič also emotionally remembered the deceased hockey player. “Egor was a man with a capital M. Like everyone else, not everything always worked out for him, but he always tried and wanted to be stronger. The team was always first for him,” he is grieving. Jadykin worked at the Salavat Ufa hockey academy and consulted with successful hockey players in the junior categories. Among the seniors, he gathered experience from 2021 and later defended the colors of Norilsk in the second highest Russian competition (VHL).
