The Crystal Wing Award for 2025 was awarded in March 2026 at the Slovak National Theater (SND) in Bratislava to personalities from the economic, scientific, cultural, sports and social spheres for exceptional achievements or long-term contribution to society. About the laureates in ten categories and a special prize in the 29th year were decided by expert juries and the Grand Jury. The event was held in the presence of the President of the Slovak Republic, Peter Pellegrini, who took over the patronage of the award.
The extraordinary award was received by presenter, author and broadcasting legend Alena Heribanová. one of the most prominent personalities of Slovak television culture, who has been on the screens since 1979. She is the author of several projects, the talk show Anjeli strážni, which has been broadcast since 2004, is considered the highlight of her television work.
What does this important award mean to her? “Very, very much. That is a beautiful prize that I appreciate very much. I was touched that people gave me this feeling, this happiness, that they nominated me for that award. It surprised me and I was happy that I was approved. So it’s a feeling of happiness that I’d like to share with those who ran this television marathon, for which I received an award, with me,” Heribanová said humbly to Koktejlu with musician Teri Čikoš.
The TV staple has fixed values. “For me they have values… or for me they are the values of everyday life. It’s that I wake up in the morning and I have to survive the day. I have homework, I have responsibilities, I have pleasures. This is amazing. But that bread, that’s everyday life. And that buttermilk, that’s the Crystal Wing, which is once in a while… but it’s beautiful,” the presenter added.
