Registration for the free online course aimed at training communicators interested in expanding coverage of environmental and climate topics is open until July 24th. The initiative is supported by the Pulitzer Center.
The training is aimed at students and professionals who wish to deepen their knowledge about the climate crisis and its impacts on Brazilian territories.
Classes will be held from August 10th to September 9th, in a remote format. With a 20-hour workload, the course combines recorded classes, live meetings and complementary activities.
The objective is to train professionals to transform complex scientific information into content accessible to the public, strengthening communication about climate change, environmental justice and sustainability.
The program includes topics such as scientific and environmental, geospatial data analysis, use of artificial intelligence in the production of visualizations, impact communication strategies and digital security.
According to the organizers, the proposal is to offer practical tools for producing reports and content capable of relating scientific evidence to problems experienced by communities.
