Miami – Uruguay has just averted a complete false start to the World Cup. The South Americans fought to a 1-1 (0-1) draw in Group H against Saudi Arabia in Miami on Monday. After falling behind 0-1 at halftime thanks to a goal from Abdulelah Al-Amri (41′), Uruguay launched an attack in the second half, which Maxi Araujo rewarded with an equalizer in the 80th minute. In the finish, goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais saved Saudi Arabia from defeat several times.
