Hardly any other male friendship has had such an impact on world politics in recent years as that between Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu – and not always for the better. The US president and the long-term Israeli prime minister have learned from each other how to denigrate political opponents and undermine the rule of law. Above all, they planned and waged the war against Iran together – a conflict that placed a heavy burden on the global economy and at the end of which the Iranian terrorist regime was more firmly in the saddle than before. A conflict that can flare up again at any time, also because Trump and Netanyahu are no longer such good friends.
