Actress Daveigh Chase, known for playing Samara in the horror film The Call (2002), died at age 35. The information was released by the website TMZ this Wednesday, 17th.
According to Roy Hernandez, the actress’s boyfriend, she died on Tuesday, the 16th, after complications caused by meningitis and an infection, which progressed to septic. Daveigh had been admitted to a Los Angeles hospital earlier this month with malnutrition.

The actress began her career as a child and gained prominence in Hollywood by voicing Lilo in the animation Lilo & Stitchreleased by Disney in 2002. She was also the voice of Chihiro Ogino in the North American dub of Spirited Away.
Among her best-known works is the role of Samara Morgan in The Callcentral character in the horror plot directed by Gore Verbinski. For her performance, she received the award for Best Villain at the MTV Movie Awards.
