The criminal faction Crazy Tram, which operates in a tourist region of Bahia, is the target of a Federal Police operation, this Friday morning (19). The action combats the crimes of drug trafficking, homicides and firearms trafficking.

According to the PF, the group’s members performed specific functions within the faction’s structure, coordinating drug trafficking, acquiring and distributing weapons, financial management of illicit activities and planning of aimed at maintaining territorial dominance and confronting rival groups.
Court orders are complied with in the municipalities of Maraú and Barra Grande, Igrapiúna, Ilhéus, Ubaitaba and Valença, in Bahia, in addition to the municipality of Santa Teresa, in the State of Espírito Santo. The operation has the support of the Civil Police of Bahia, through the Territorial Police Station of Maraú, the Regional Directorate of Police of the Southern Interior (DIRPIN Sul) and the 23rd COORPIN/2nd Territorial Police Station of Eunápolis, as well as the Military Police of Bahia, through the 72nd CIPM/Itacaré, CIPRv/TOR and 33rd CIPM/Valença, and the Penal Police/BA.
FICCO/Ilhéus is made up of the Federal Police, Federal Highway Police, Military Police, Civil Police, Bahia Penal Police and Bahia Public Security Secretariat, acting in an integrated manner to combat organized crime.
