The Council will meet on Monday to debate the president’s proposal to order action against the magistrate


The General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) is studying to file charges against Judge Juan Carlos Peinado for stating that the police officers who act as escorts for the wife of the President of the Government, Begoña Gómez, The president of the Council, Isabel Perelló, has proposed to the permanent commission, the main executive body after the plenary session, order the disciplinary authority to open a file against the magistrate for the statements incorporated in the order with which this Saturday he communicated the opening of an oral trial against Gómez and the withdrawal of the passport, the prohibition to leave Spain and the obligation to appear in court every 14 days. CGPJ sources have indicated that Perelló had called an online meeting for this Sunday to discuss the matter but, finally, it was agreed to do so in person on Monday morning.
