Istanbul – Around two weeks before the NATO summit in Ankara, posts criticizing the international meeting were blocked in Turkey. According to the site “Engelli Web,” which tracks website blocking, a court blocked the site called “NATODefol” (NATO Out), citing national security and public order. For the same reason, the website of an online signature campaign entitled “NATO ‘ya Hayir” (No to NATO) was blocked. The pages could not be opened from Turkey.
