The Jury Court held at the Guarulhos Criminal Forum heard this Monday (22) the testimony of Simone Fernandes Novaishealth agent and widow of , one of the fatal victims of the attack that occurred at Guarulhos International Airport, on November 8, 2024. the participation of three military police officers accused of involvement in the murder of Vinícius Gritzbach.
During the attack, heavily armed men executed Vinícius Gritzbach and also shot Celsowho worked as an app driver at the location. Other people were grazed by gunfire.
In a statement marked by emotion, Simone described the impact of the loss of her husband on the family. The couple had three children, aged 22, 15 and 5. According to her, Celso was the main person responsible for supporting the house.
“He was my life partner. He was the one who paid the bills, he was everything to us”, he stated.
The witness also highlighted her husband’s dedication to his children. “He was a very present father,” he said.
Simone told the jurors that Celso maintained an intense work routine. He left home in the morning, around 7am, and only returned at night, often around 10pm, in search of better earnings to support his family.
One of the most moving moments of the testimony occurred when she recounted the last moments of her husband’s life.. Even though he was seriously injured by the gunshot, Celso managed to call his wife after being rescued.
Taken to Guarulhos General Hospital, he underwent emergency surgery, but did not survive his injuries. According to Simone, the doctors who participated in the treatment reported that, already in the surgical center, Celso called for her several times, but the two were unable to meet before her death.

The widow also revealed a story that, according to her, demonstrates her husband’s dedicated and affectionate profile.. That day, the 15-year-old son was saddened by the recent loss of a puppy. To try to cheer him up, Celso decided to work longer than usual to earn enough money to buy Japanese food for the teenager.
“He spent more time working that day to please his son. He ended up losing his life”, said Simone, emotionally.
The trial of the three military police officers accused of participating in the murder of Vinícius Gritzbach continues with the hearing of witnesses and the presentation of evidence gathered during the investigation of the case, one of the most publicized in the recent history of Greater São Paulo.
