The Communications Secretary of Paraná, Cleber Mata, will leave the department to take over in July as director of institutional relations at EPTV, a Globo affiliate, in São Paulo and Minas Gerais.
The decision was taken in common agreement with the governor (PSD). In April, the head of the Paraná Executive gave up running for Palácio do Planalto, surprising the political environment and even his closest allies.
Ratinho decided to stay in office to help elect federal deputy Sandro Alex (PSD) as his successor, who
Mata was Secretary of Communication for the State of São Paulo and advised governors Cláudio Lembo, from DEM (currently União Brasil), and the tucanos José Serra, Alberto Goldman, Geraldo Alckmin, João Doria and Rodrigo Garcia.
In a statement, he thanked the governor for his trust and “the people of Paraná for my gratitude for their welcome.”
