Lawyers for the military police officers accused of the death of businessman Vinicius Gritzbach said this Monday (22) repudiate “personal attacks” and “offenses” during the trial of defendants. In a statement, the defense stated that they had been “the target of demonstrations incompatible with the environment of respect and urbanity that should guide the Jury Court”.

For lawyers, the Public Prosecutor’s stance in the trial “it made the regular continuation of work unfeasible”. The defendants’ defense also said that they will “adopt all institutional and appropriate measures”.
“The practice of criminal law is an essential function for the administration of Justice and cannot be the target of intimidation, personal attacks or attempts at delegitimization,” stated the lawyers.
