Agents carry out 16 arrest and search and seizure warrants; investigation was conducted by the Civil Police of Paraná
Civil Police from 7 States and the Federal District participate this Wednesday (June 24, 2026) in operation Pharos 2 to investigate individuals who share and store sexual abuse material of children and adolescents. In total, 8 preventive arrest warrants and 8 search and seizure warrants were served.
The action was led by Qualified Investigations Center of the Interior Police Division of (Civil Police of Paraná), and had the support of the Civil Police of Rio Grande do Sul, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Goiás, Ceará, Pernambuco and the Federal District.
The investigations originate from the analysis of the cell phone seized from a man arrested in the 1st phase of the operation. The content inspection was carried out by the Scientific Police of Paraná.
The content showed the exchange of abusive material through a messaging application and led to the identification of the 8 targets of the 2nd phase of the operation.
Those investigated may be responsible for storing and transmitting child sexual abuse material. If added together, the sentences reach 10 years in prison.
