US Energy Secretary Chris Wright said that around 72 ships have left the Strait of Hormuz in the last 24 hours, meaning that around 20 million barrels of oil have passed through the waterway.

When participating in the event Reuters NEXT this Wednesday, 24th, Wright admitted, however, that the return to normal conditions in Hormuz will still take a few weeks. But he emphasized that Iran has zero capacity to block the sea lane going forward.

The secretary refuted the idea that US President Donald Trump was surprised by the extent of the impact of the attacks launched against Iran, stressing that the president was fully aware of the implications of the military operations.
