Morocco comes second in the knockout phase after beating Haiti 4-2


Atlanta – After a tough fight and falling behind twice, Morocco won the final preliminary round game against underdog Haiti 4-2 (2-2) in Atlanta on Thursday, but still missed out on winning Group C. Brazil, tied on points, secured this with a clear 3-0 win in the parallel game over Scotland. Morocco, in second place, is in the knockout phase of a World Cup for the third time, while Haiti was denied its historic first point win.
