The Social Democratic Women of the Algarve are promoting, this Friday, June 26th, at 7pm, a festival at the Armação de Pêra Fortress, in the municipality of Silves, with free entry and open to the entire community.
The initiative takes place in one of the most emblematic spaces in the village, next to the sea, and aims to provide participants with a moment of conviviality in a setting marked by views of the coast and the sunset.
According to the organization, the event takes place “in one of the most beautiful settings in the region”, giving participants “the opportunity to enjoy a magnificent sunset by the sea”.
The festival will be attended by the national vice-president of the Social Democratic Party, Alexandre Poço, the president of the PSD/Algarve district and the vice-president of Social Democratic Youth, Teresa Patrício Gouveia.
Initiative aims to bring together activists, supporters and the community
According to the Social Democratic Women of the Algarve, the presence of national and regional leaders reinforces “the political and institutional dimension of this initiative”, which aims to be “above all, a space for meeting, conviviality and proximity between activists, supporters and all citizens”.
The meeting should bring together representatives from the region’s municipalities, promoting rapprochement between different generations and strengthening community spirit.
In an environment described as festive and relaxed, the initiative includes musical entertainment, typical cuisine, convivial moments and various activities designed to provide an inclusive experience for participants.
The organization emphasizes that the program aims to value Algarve traditions and create a space for dialogue and civic participation.
Women highlight an active role in political and social life
In addition to the cultural and recreational component, the festival aims to highlight the role of women in the political, social and associative life of the Algarve.
According to the statement, the initiative aims to promote “values of civic participation, equal opportunities and community involvement”.
The Social Democratic Women of the Algarve state that, with this event, they reaffirm “their commitment to a more participatory society, closer to the people and more attentive to the challenges and aspirations of local communities”.
