As tToll rates will be readjusted from midnight on Wednesday, 1st, on the main concession highways in the State of São Paulo. The increase ranges from 1.9% to 5.1%. The highways of the Anchieta-Imigrantes System, the main access to the coast of São Paulo, will have an adjustment of 4.91% and will maintain the highest toll rate in the country, going from R$38.70 to R$40.60.
The adjustment was approved by the State Transport Agency (Artesp) and published in the Official Gazette on Tuesday. According to Artesp, the average adjustment will be 4.72% for concessionaires in the first and second phases of the State Concessions Programin addition to the concessionaires Rodoanel Oeste, SPMAR and Entrevias. The index corresponds to the accumulated variation of the IPCA between June 2025 and May 2026, as provided for in the concession contracts.
On the Tamoios Highway, the approved adjustment is provisional, at 5.08%. According to the concessionaire, the highway concession contract provides for the use of the June IPCA as an adjustment index. As the indicator is only released throughout July by IBGE, Artesp initially uses the May IPCA to apply the adjustment together with the other concessionaires. After the release of the June index, the agency redoes the calculations and checks whether any adjustments to the tariff will be necessary.
Rates will be adjusted for:
- Anhanguera-Bandeirantes System Concessionaire (Autoban)
- Highways of the Interior Paulista (Intervias)
- Hills Highways
- Raposo Tavares Auto Dealership (CART)
- Western Integrated Highways (SPVias)
- Tietê Highways
- Ecovias of Immigrants
- Ecovias do Leste Paulista
- Rodoanel Oeste Concessionaire
- SPMAR dealership
- Tamoios Highway.
As for the Entrevias highways, the New values come into effect from midnight on July 6th.
The other concessionaires, Eixo SP, Econoroeste, ViaPaulista, Novo Litoral, Sorocabana and Raposo-Castello, have different dates for adjustments.
It was expected that the Anchieta-Imigrantes System would start operating with electronic toll collection (free flow) from July 1st, but the concessionaire announced a postponement in the operation, as the testing phase for approval of the system had not been completed. A new date for operation has not yet been announced, so charging will continue to be at physical locations.
Among the highways that lead to the coast of São Paulo, in addition to the Anchieta-Imigrantes System, the toll fare at Santos on the Cônego Domênio Rangoni highway will rise to R$ 19.20. At Padre Manoel da Nóbrega, at the São Vicente toll, it will be R$ 11.40.
On the Tamoios Highway, the main access to the north coast, the toll in Paraibuna will be R$13, in Jambeiro it will be R$6.10 and in Contorno Sul the driver will pay R$5.90.
Among the highways that serve the interior, Bandeirantes will have a toll fee of R$ 14.50 at Campo Limpo and Via Anhanguera, R$ 14.30 at Valinhos. At Castello Branco, the driver will pay R$20.40 at the Quadra and Itatinga toll booths. The toll on SP-75 (Rodovia Ermênio de Oliveira Penteado) near Viracopos Airport rises to R$20.30.
Despite the general adjustment, the São Paulo government says that, from July 1st, there will be a reduction in fares at toll plazas in municipalities such as Jaguariúna, Águas da Prata, Estiva Gerbi, Espírito Santo do Pinhal, Itobi, Casa Branca, Mococa and Aguaí.
The drop in value is due to the change that replaces the current point-to-point system, limited to a specific section of the highway, with a broader charging model for all users who pass through the plazas, and not just those previously registered.
