SP sends new reinforcement for humanitarian mission in Venezuela after earthquake

After the strong earthquake which reached the Venezuela On June 24th, the Government of the State of São Paulo will send, this Sunday (28), a new contingent to reinforce the Brazilian humanitarian aid mission in the country. The natural disaster left around 920 dead and more than 1,400 injured.

The team will be made up of 16 military firefighters specialized in search and rescue in collapsed structures and a State Civil Defense agent, expanding the operational capacity of the mission.

In addition to reinforcing personnel, the São Paulo government will send two state-of-the-art power generators and one satellite internet equipment. The equipment aims to ensure the functioning of operations in areas affected by the disaster.
