Rescuers recovered an 11-year-old boy alive in Karabagheda, in the north of the country, as announced by the country’s interim president, Delsy Rodrigues.
“A few minutes ago, an eleven-year-old boy was rescued in Karabagheda. Right now, every life is a source of hope for Venezuela,” Rodriguez wrote on X, accompanying her message with a video of the child’s rescue.
Good news in the midst of this tragedy.
Several uniformed officers participated, along with the rest of the USAR Colombia 1 team, in the rescue of Moisés, an 11-year-old boy who was trapped in the rubble and was found alive.

The boy, named Moses, was rescued alive after an hours-long operation after he was earlier found trapped under debris.
The videos of the moment of the rescue are indicative of the emotion for the 11-year-old.

The number of dead and missing is increasing
The rescue operation involved, among others, members of the USAR Colombia 1 task force, as well as firefighters from Bogotá, Colombia, who have flown to Venezuela to assist in search and rescue operations.
It is recalled that the latest report by the authorities speaks of 1,430 dead and over 3,200 injured, while concern is growing for at least 50,000 missing.
