Iranthrough the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs lost, Esmaeil Baqaeídenied this Tuesday that during this week both technical and high-level meetings such as USAAs the American president announced the day before, Donald Trump. The White House had confirmed that Trump’s chief negotiator, Steven Witkoffand the president’s son-in-law, Jared Kushnerthey were on their way to Qatarwhere a meeting was to take place “at the request of Iran.” Tehran, however, flatly denies it. “Tomorrow we will meet in Doha only with the Qatari partto talk about the implementation of the pre-agreement [con Estados Unidos]including the release of our frozen bank assets in Qatar,” Baqaeí assured the press.
“For this reason, I want to emphasize that we do not plan any meeting of any kind with the Americans, neither tomorrow nor in the next few days“continued the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, who has also been appointed spokesperson for the Persian negotiating team.
What is expected to happen in Qatar will be an exchange of indirect messages between Washington y Tehran through the mediation of both the small Gulf monarchy and Pakistan.

Permit to Tehran

According to the text of the pre-agreement, Iran and the US have a maximum period of 60 days to reach a definitive agreement. Both parties, however, have the possibility of postponing the deadline by mutual agreement. If there is no entente, Trump has threatened on multiple occasions, then “The US will finish the task through military means”.
