Hamburg – Nine years after the riots surrounding the G20 summit in Hamburg, two police officers apologized to a victim of violence at the start of a trial. According to the public prosecutor’s office, the proceedings at the Hamburg district court are the first of their kind – all other proceedings against civil servants have therefore been discontinued. Three police officers are accused who the public prosecutor’s office accuses of hitting and injuring a man at the Bismarck Monument with batons and fists.
