With dreams of the Libertadores, Atlético-MG players focus on the Brazilian Championship

After the 1-0 defeat to Flamengo and the loss of the Copa do Brasil title, with 4-1 on aggregate, the Atlético-MG players did not hide their sadness, but gave an important message to the fans.

Still in the mixed zone of Arena MRV, Everson, Paulinho, highlighted that, before the Copa Libertadores final, scheduled for November 30th, against Botafogo, the team’s focus will now be on rehabilitation in the Brazilian Championship.

With 41 points, they currently occupy 11th place and are far from the classification zone for the Libertadores. Currently, Cruzeiro completes the group and has 47.

“We have to score in the Brazilian Championship, as we are in a bad position. We need to end the year in a good way to score points in the Brazilian Championship”, highlighted Rodrigo Battaglia.

Another who adopted this line was defender Júnior Alonso. “We have to turn the key. There are 19 days left until the final (of the Libertadores), but we know we need to score in the Brazilian Championship. We have to work on everything that needs to be improved”, said the Paraguayan.
