Dmitry Peskov claims that European leaders continue to try to strategically defeat Russia

Britain is considering allowing Ukraine to use missile systems against Russia.

The Kremlin on Monday accused European leaders of continuing to seek the “strategic defeat” of Russia. Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the Russian president, stated this at a press conference. TASR reports according to Reuters and The Daily Telegraph.

Peskov was responding to media reports that Britain will allow Ukraine to use Storm Shadow long-range missile systems against targets deep in Russian territory.

London wants to negotiate with US President Joe Biden

London also wants to discuss this issue with outgoing US President Joe Biden and convince him to allow such attacks to the Ukrainians. According to information from the British newspaper The Telegraph, there is great hope in the British government that the American president will issue the permit.

Ukraine has been asking for permission to use long-range missiles against targets deep in Russian territory for several months. The American president did not provide it out of fear of retaliatory attacks by Russia on Western military bases, as well as fear of an intensification of Russian sabotage activities in Europe.
