Austria is (still) on course for climate change: emissions fell more than expected in 2023

It is now clear: Austria has also reduced its greenhouse gas emissions in 2023, by 6.5 percent. The Federal Environment Agency had already presented an initial estimate in March 2024; at that time the decline was still 5.3 percent. It finally presented the exact balance sheet on Monday morning. The decline is therefore stronger than expected.
