More than 20 people were injured on Monday in the southern Chinese city of Zhuhai after how to sports center, in which they were hit by a car. The sixty-two-year-old driver subsequently fled the scene, however, the police later detained him, reports TASR based on a report from the AP agency.
The exact number of injured is still unknown. However, one of the four hospitals in which the injured were hospitalized reported that it accepted them in this way over 20 people. The arrested man was identified by the police only by his last name, Fan.
It was not immediately clear whether it was about attack or accident. The police reported that the incident is investigating. It happened to him on the eve of the air show, which is held annually in this city. The said sports center in Xiangzhou district, which usually attended by hundreds of people, after the incident they closed until further notice.
