According to tradition, if the marmot can see his shadow when leaving the burrow, we will be waiting for six weeks of winter. If not – spring will come faster. From 1887, Phil saw his shadow 116 times (last time in 2023) and did not see it 21 times (for the last time in 2024). How will it be this year? We will find out on February 2. Although at first the holiday was local, it was the popularity of the film “Wystak Day” that made it known all over the world.

Danny Rubin and Harold Ramis were responsible for the script of the film, and the fantastic effects of their work were awarded with the prestigious BAFTA award for the best original script. “Wystak Day” not only revolutionized the species of romantic comedies, but also became one of the most recognizable films of the 90s. The success of the film is largely due to unforgettable acting creations. Bill Murray perfectly reflects the transformation of his character, initially cynical, and then sensitive and full of kindness. This role is considered one of the most important and best in the actor’s achievements. Today, it is difficult to imagine someone else in this role, although the casting of Tom Hanks or Michael Keaton was initially considered.
