Vienna-After more than 40 years, the deposit for reusable glass bottles with 9 cents (previously 1.2 schilling) has been increased to 20 cents. According to the brewery association, those glass bottles that are currently stored in the supermarket return automatic machines with 9 cents are affected by the pedicher increase: this includes the classic 0.5-liter beer bottles, but also white glass bottles with screw cap as well as many 0.33 liter glass bottles.
