Bimby, better known as Thermomix outside Portugal, was one of the first kitchen robots to gain popularity in our country for helping a meal. It cuts, mixes, kneads, boils and cooking steam, but the price of this appliance has made many Portuguese continue to privilege the manual culinary techniques. However, today there are much cheaper kitchen robots with the same functions.
Having a Thermomix at home has become fashionable in Portugal and the truth is that time went by and the trend remained. This was precisely the trigger for other brands to begin to make cooking robots and sell them at much more affordable prices to compete with the already Veteran Thermomix.
One of the most recent cases was the Monsieur Cuisine Connect, also known as the “Lidl Thermomix”, whose price was not reached 500 euros. Monsieur Cuisine Connect attracted many customers and the Thermomix even put Lidl in court as Vorwerk, the manufacturer of Thermomix, accused the Lidl of violating his rights.

At the center of the prosecution were certain components and mechanisms, such as intervention while working the agitator or scout arm and the weighing system. What is certain that in 2022 Lidl won the court battle against Vorwerk and was able to continue selling his product.
Also Auchan has a kitchen robot and costs less than 400 €
However, other brands were also producing their own cooking robots and Auchan now has one whose price does not reach 400 euros. The kitchen robot is for sale for 339.99 euros, as an 11% promotion is in force on the total value of the product.
Auchan’s kitchen robot is not as famous as the Thermomix and Lidl’s “Thermomix”, but also assumes various functions.
In addition to including 1,000 recipes, the robot performs 12 functions and has various accessories, namely steam tray, grating disc, baking basket, spatula, beater, kneading, blades and dosing cup.
