A 2.4 earthquake on the Ritcher scale was felt this Tuesday at 10:36 in the municipalities of Sesimbra, Lisbon, Almada and Palmela, according to information from the Portuguese Institute of Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA).
In a statement, the IPMA states that the earthquake was recorded at the seismic network stations of the continent and whose epicenter was located about 12 kilometers southwest of Seixal.
This earthquake, according to the information available so far, “has not caused personal or material damage” and was felt with maximum intensity II/III (modified Mercalli Scale) in the municipality of Sesimbra (Setúbal).
