Vienna-Seven important ÖFB sponsors asked for an external person as the future president of the football association in a letter to the chairman of the election committee Martin Mutz (head of state Carinthia) and his deputy Josef Geisler (Tyrol). That reported the Salzburger news on Thursday. The ÖFB duo received the letter on Wednesday evening, drawn by Admiral, Coca-Cola, Austrian Lotteries/Tip3, Magenta, Transdanubia, Verbund and Raiffeisen.
