Economic scenario is concern for most entrepreneurs

These professionals also care about the political instabilitycited by 14.9% of them, while 9% of entrepreneurs pointed to fierce competition in the markets where they act as a concern.

This scenario represents an increase compared to last year, when almost 60% of entrepreneurs responded to worry about the economy.

“Even with the difficulties, we see that more than 68% of entrepreneurs fully agree that having their own business is the best option for the future. That is, despite the concerns, we see that optimism is really what moves the Brazilian entrepreneur, ”said Vinicius Poit, CEO of the stimulus.

Amid this context, most entrepreneurs intend to expand their business with new fronts.

Already 19.4% have plans to better structure the departments of their companies and 15.8% will invest to improve the performance of their commercial sales teams.

Last year, these workers’ challenges revolved around the increase in operating costs – a situation reported by 75.1%.

Bureaucracies in general (40.9%), strong competition (37.2%), client reduction (36.9%) and necessary adaptations for a more digital world were also barriers that entrepreneurs passed by 2024.

As a result, about 3 out of 10 professionals said sales fell. Already a portion of more than 35% observed an increase and 21% did not feel major differences in sales.

Entrepreneurs’ profile

According to the stimulus survey, the entrepreneurs They are divided into 71% men and 29% women, more than half of the total in the 41 to 60 range.

Among them, most have complete higher education, followed by the part with complete high school.

São Paulo allocates most entrepreneurs, followed by Minas Gerais and Rio Grande do Sul.

Among the segments of operation, the service industry leads among the business, being 42.9% of them, followed by 38.4% in commerce.

According to the study, most have a monthly revenue of $ 10,000 to $ 30,000.
