In the previous regime, there were a lot of commands and prohibitions that we fortunately do not have today. One of these bans was the entry into this absolutely magical forest. Although the ban on entry has not been true for a long time, you will not meet it. So if you want to get away from people for a while and enjoy the beauty of virgin nature, where no one will disturb you or make a quiet family trip, this forest is an ideal choice.

Czech Forest
Czech Forest is located in the Pilsen Region and you will not meet anyone there. During the then Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, the forest was on the territory of the borderland, which was a banned area strictly guarded by border patrol. The reason was, of course, preventing attempts to escape to West Germany. By cutting off the infrastructure for several decades, the forest is complicated to the right. But it is nothing that would not be worthwhile to go to this magic forest.
Why is this forest the most beautiful in the Czech Republic? It was because it was not allowed. Which means that no one was in the trees, no one was thrown into it, no one made a fire in it, just no one had a chance to demolish it. This means that an absolutely breathtaking scene of pure nature, beautiful meadows and pastures awaiting you that the human hand did not reach. You will also find educational routes and cycle paths, places where previously stood villages that had the regime destroyed and compared to the ground and the remains of old churches.

So whether you want to make a trip with your family, ride a bike or enjoy undisturbed beauty and peace of nature, the Czech Forest is here for you. At the same time, however, it is important to know that on the way you really do not meet stalls with refreshments, restaurant or anything like that. Therefore, before leaving home, equip yourself with arsenal of food, drink and quality shoes intended for nature. The road is somewhat more demanding, but the beauty of this majestic forest is definitely worth it.
