It is one of the most famous open source projects: Image processing GIMP has been opposing a free alternative for several decades of proprietary solutions such as Photoshop. At the same time, it is not exactly a project that is known to finalize larger conversions at high speed. Seven years after the release of GIMP 2.10 and 21 years after the release of GIMP 2.0 there is now the next big step for the software.
