Defender Éder Militão suffered a serious injury in Real Madrid’s match against Osasuna, this Saturday (9), in the 13th round of Laliga.
In the 25th minute of the first half, after a cross in the attacking field, the defender felt his right knee and fell screaming on the field, indicating the seriousness of the problem. The athlete received medical attention and left the field crying on a stretcher.
After the game, in an official statement, Real Madrid confirmed a complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament with damage to both menisci of the Brazilian’s right leg.

“After examinations carried out on our player Eder Militão, by the medical services of , he was diagnosed with a complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament with damage to both menisci of his right leg. Militão will undergo surgery in the next few days”, declared the club.

Brazilian team
Éder Militão had been called up for Brazil’s games against Venezuela and Uruguay, in the World Cup qualifiers, and will be removed from the list after the injury suffered.

Brazil takes the field against Venezuela on November 14th, and faces the Uruguayans on the 19th.
