The Grammy awards ceremony, held on Sunday night, 1, in Los Angeles, was marked by criticism from artists against the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
“Nobody is illegal on stolen land,” said singer-songwriter Billie Eilish, after receiving the Song of the Year award, for Wildflower. “Before I thank God, I’ll say: out with ICE”, said Puerto Rican Bad Bunny, winner of Album of the Year, with I should have taken more photos.
American President Donald Trump reacted to the criticism and said that the Grammy ceremony is the “worst, virtually impossible to watch”, in a post on the Truth Social network. Trump also reacted to a comment by the event’s host, Trevor Noah, who associated him with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, who died in jail in 2019.

“Noah incorrectly said about me that Donald Trump and former President Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein’s island. Wrong!!! I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein’s island, not even close, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, I have never been accused of being there, not even by the fake news media.”
Trump even threatened to take Noah to court “for a lot of money”. “Looks like I’m going to send my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, idiot presenter.”
