These centrão parties are excited because they consider Nikolas a strong favorite to run for Government of Minas Gerais.
The idea involves guaranteeing Flávio a strong platform in the state, considered crucial in the national election. Zema is a pre-candidate for the Presidency and has his vice-president, Matheus Simões (PSD), as a pre-candidate for the government. In this way, the PL runs the risk of having the machine candidate campaigning for another name in the race for Planalto.
