A 10-year-old child was seized with around 1 kg of crack in the Boa Vista II neighborhood, in Caruaru, in Agreste de Pernambuco. The case was registered last Saturday (9).

According to the Military Police, the drug belonged to the boy’s mother, who has not been located so far. This Tuesday (12), the Civil Police of Pernambuco reported that the case is under investigation.

The PM reported that a team from the 4th BPM received information, on Friday night (8), that a child was delivering drugs in the city using a bicycle.

After searches, the boy was located the next day. He allegedly told the police that the rest of the drugs were at his home. At the scene, agents found the drugs and a precision scale.

The boy’s sister, an adult whose name was not released, attended the police station to provide clarification. The Civil Police opened an investigation to investigate the circumstances of the case, including possible corruption of minors.

The Guardianship Council was called to monitor the child’s situation. The boy’s mother, identified as the owner of the drug, has not yet been found by authorities.
