Krish Arora, a 10-year-old British boy, was accepted into Mensa International, the world’s oldest and largest high-IQ society, after achieving a maximum score of 162 on the IQ test, as reported by The Sun newspaper.
This score puts him above the IQ estimates of geniuses like Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking, who had estimated IQs of 160, and places him in the top 1% of the smartest people in the world.
According to the newspaper, Krish’s parents, Mauli and Nischal Arora, noticed his exceptional abilities early on, when he was already reading fluently at the age of four. In addition to his impressive academic performance, Krish is also an accomplished pianist, having won several awards in the field of music.
In an interview with The Sun, Krish expressed surprise and pride at his acceptance into Mensa, highlighting the fact that his IQ is higher than Einstein’s. The test used by Mensa, the Cattell III B, assesses reasoning ability and mental agility, with scores above 160 being considered indicative of genius.
Krish’s mother, Mauli, commented to the newspaper that following her son’s intellectual development is a challenge, but also a great joy for the family. She highlighted that his acceptance into Mensa is not only proof of his intelligence, but also a promise of a bright future, with the potential for great contributions to society.
