Senator appears in video with the governor of Bahia during the PGP 2026 agenda, in Itaberaba

The senator (PT-BA) appears dancing alongside the governor of Bahia, Jerônimo Rodrigues (PT), in a video recorded during an agenda for PGP 2026 (Participatory Government Program) in Itaberaba, in the interior of Bahia. The program in the municipality was held on Friday (June 5, 2026).

In the video, Wagner and Jerônimo appear on a stage dancing to a version of the song “Vai dar PT”. The senator appears wearing Juliet glasses. These images were originally published on from the Instagram of the vice-mayor of Itaberaba, also a PT member.

Watch the video of Jaques Wagner’s dance (44s):

Jerônimo Rodrigues is seeking re-election to the state government. Jaques Wagner and (PT) are the names of the group to compete for the two Senate seats.

The composition also has Geraldo Júnior (MDB) as a candidate for vice-governor on Jerônimo’s ticket. Wagner and Rui already governed Bahia before Jerônimo and make up the PT political nucleus that has commanded the State since 2007.

On social media, the video received criticism from the right. In a publication in X, São Paulo councilor Rubinho Nunes (União Brasil) cited the violence in Bahia and stated that the State leads crime rates.

But due to the excitement of Jaques Wagnes and Governor Jerônimo Rodrigues, the PT is very worried about the State!“, he wrote.
