The Prime Minister, Luís Montenegro, speaks to the country
A question of communication and knowing when to speak – looking at the clock… and the calendar.
Luis Montenegro last Wednesday that the Government will invest 20 million euros to buy 600 vehicles to PSP e GNR.
Nobody questions that security is a relevant issue – although the Prime Minister himself recalled that Portugal “is a safe country, it is even one of the safest countries in the world”.
What has been questioned a lot these days is whether the Prime Minister spoke to the country, scheduled that press conference, for the 20 hours.
It’s time for the news, it’s usually a sign of a relevant announcement: a resignation in the Government, an important economic measure for the Portuguese.
For Pedro Benevides, the problem was the Mercury retrograde.
It is an astronomical phenomenon that occurs every year, between three and four times a year. It’s not “going backwards”; is to move slower than the Earth.
In astrology, Mercury is a planet strongly related to organization, communication (among other aspects). During Mercury retrograde, communications can be severely hampered. Therefore, there are certain important decisions or communications that should be avoided at this time, argue astrologers.

The commentator warned that Mercury retrograde (the last one this year started on Monday and ends on December 15th) occurs in Sagittarius but spreads for everyone else signs, Is it contagious”.

Even so, the week closes with the apparent process surrounding the construction of his luxury villa in Espinho, where he was suspected of receiving tax benefits.
Despite everything, and with this closure, Montenegro “managed to counter Mercury retrograde – which is a subject that should be taken seriously, people should study and read. It’s a serious matter, it’s practically science”, he defended.
