Qualifying practice for the Qatar F1 GP was held this Saturday (11/30) and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen achieved pole position, with a time of 1:20.520. However, the four-time champion was penalized and lost first place on the grid.
After analysis, the stewards judged that Verstappen, being slow on the track, hindered George Russell’s lap, who inherited pole from the Dutchman and will start first this Sunday. Third place went to Lando Norris, from McLaren.
