A small asteroid, designated C0WECP5, lit up the sky in Russia’s remote Yakutia region. It caused no damage.
European Space Agency astronomers spotted it “on a collision course with Earth” 12 hours earlier. As it approaches, theAuthorities have been placed on alert, guarantees Yakutia’s Emergencies Ministry.
