The president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) said this Wednesday (4) that if, at the end of his term, there are no more people “plotting coups d’état”, his government will have already accomplished a mission.
The PT member made the statement at a ceremony about federal hospitals at Palácio do Planalto.
“What we want is for people to learn to respect others by being whoever they want to be. If we achieve this, and above all respect the electoral result, that no one is plotting a coup, that no one is discrediting the ballot box, that no one is inventing, we will have already accomplished an extremely important mission in this country”, stated the President of the Republic.

The head of government’s speech comes at a time when the Federal Police (PF) is advancing investigations into the former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and his political group for allegedly planning a coup d’état to remain in power after losing the 2022 election.
The PT member also stated that his government wants to deliver a Mais Especialistas program, aimed at providing specialized medical care. According to him, the idea is to publicize the topic this year.
