The Criminal Instruction Court (TIC) of Porto decided to bring to trial, in the exact terms of the accusation, the defendants, including the former leader of the Super Dragões, Fernando Madureiraand the woman Sandra Madureirawho refused to give a statement outside court this Thursday.

During the reading of the instructional decision, the judge explained that she maintained the Public Prosecutor’s Office’s (MP) accusation in full because the documentary, testimonial and expert evidence is strong.
The opening of investigation, an optional phase that aims to decide by a criminal investigation judge whether the process will continue and in what form for trial, was requested by some of the 12 defendants.
The MP’s accusation reports on a possible attempt by the Super Dragões to “create a” in a General Assembly of FC Porto so that a statutory review “in the interest of the management” of the club could be approved, then led by Pinto da Costa.
Fernando Madureira is the only accused in pre-trial detention, while the others were released in different phases, including Sandra Madureira, wife of the former cheerleader, Fernando Saul, Vítor Catão or Hugo Carneiro, also with links to the Super Dragões.
there are 19 crimes of coercion and aggravated threat, seven of offenses against physical integrity in the context of a sporting spectacle, one of public instigation of a crime, another of throwing objects or liquid products and three of attacks on freedom of information.
Hugo Carneiro is also accused of possession of a prohibited weapon, and the MP requests additional penalties of banning access to sports venues for between one and five years.
