The objective of the RJ Inclusion Census is to develop public policies to meet them; find out how it will work
Rio de Janeiro launched a survey on Tuesday (Dec 3, 2024) to identify how many people with disabilities live in the State. The objective is to develop public policies to meet them. Named , the program will be based on the answers given by citizens on a virtual platform.
Registration can be done by a person with a disability, a relative or legal guardian. In-person bases will be installed in state government agencies and in strategic locations to expand access.
The research will be divided into two stages:
- in the 1stthe citizen will fill out a form with basic personal information.
- in the 2ndcitizens will be invited to respond to a detailed questionnaire, with information on housing, education, accessibility and also health, income, culture and leisure. The objective is to profile this population to map their needs.
The database will also be cross-referenced with the platforms of other government agencies.
The tool was launched on Tuesday (Dec 3) on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. It will be coordinated by the team from the Undersecretariat for Inclusive Policies, from the Civil House Secretariat, with monitoring by an interdisciplinary committee.
