Emmanuel Macron held trilateral negotiations with Zelensky and Trump
Trump met with Zelensky on Saturday in Paris, where they both arrived for the reopening ceremony. French President Emmanuel Macron used this opportunity and held tripartite negotiations with Zelensky and Trump at the Elysee Palace on Saturday.
“Zelensky and Ukraine would like to make a deal and stop this madness,” Trump wrote in the status. He added that “there should be an immediate ceasefire and negotiations should begin. Too many lives are needlessly wasted, too many families are destroyed, and if this continues, it could turn into something much bigger and much worse”.
The meeting in Paris was Zelenskyi’s first personal meeting with Trump since his victory in the November US presidential election.
