Chelsea won the London classic against Tottenham 4-3 this Sunday (8), in the 15th round of the English Championship, and placed itself as the main pursuer of leader Liverpool, taking advantage of Arsenal’s stumble, which drew 1-1 with o Fulham. Coach Enzo Maresca’s team turned the game around after conceding two goals, in moves favored by slips from full-back Marc Cucurella.

In a spectacular game, the ‘Spurs’ took the initiative with two goals in just over ten minutes, scored by Dominic Solanke (5′) and Dejan Kulusewski (11′). In both moves, Cucurella slipped. With the score already at 2-0, the Spanish national team’s full-back went to the bench to change his boots before returning to the field and helping the team overcome their rivals.
Replaced in the 90th minute of the game by Renato Veiga, Cucurella took to social media to apologize to Chelsea fans for the two mistakes. He posted an image of the boots in a trash can and wrote: “Sorry, Bleus,” in a good-humored tone.

“It almost got away from us [a vitória]…but we’re proud of the team’s incredible effort to turn things around. London is blue!”, posted the Spaniard.
The ‘Blues’ took the lead with four goals: two from Cole Palmer (61′ and 84′, both from penalties), one from Jadon Sancho (18) and one from Enzo Fernández (73′).
The stoppage time goal from South Korean Son Heung-min (90’+6) only reduced the score for Tottenham.
With this victory, Chelsea have 31 points and are four behind leaders Liverpool, whose derby against Everton, which should have been played on Saturday, was postponed due to bad weather.
