The Ministry of Communications launches this Thursday (25) the Brazilian Strategic Communication Network, which will create a unique and exclusive structure for public bodies and allow integrated communication between security forces.
Today, each agency uses an independent system, which is the same as the cell phone networks used by the population. The new project will be operated by Telebrás independently of the current networks,
With the new network, the idea is that institutions such as the Armed Forces, Military Police of the Federal District and Legislative Police talk through the same system, which will allow for safer communications in critical operations, large events and emergency situations.
The idea is that the new network reduces the risks of congestion, signal failures and interception. According to the ministry, the new operation is to eliminate any chance of a signal drop.
The ministry says that in crisis situations, agents will be able to share information in real time through an interoperable channel. The proposal will also be presented by the National Telecommunications Agency () and the Band Administrative Entity (EAF).
Also this Thursday, the ministry will activate its own fiber optic infrastructure to connect public agencies of the federal government. The first step will be at the National Mining Agency, in Aracaju, Sergipe.
In addition to protecting against failures, the network proposal even in high demand scenarios. The promise is to reach four more capitals by the end of the year.
