The French director Christophe Ruggia has been in court since Monday for alleged sexual assault of minors. The 35-year-old actress Adèle Haenel accuses the filmmaker, who is around 20 years her senior, of repeatedly abusing her as a minor. The director rejects the allegations. Haenel made this public in 2019 and thus became a pioneer of the MeToo movement in France.
