Clean up first
In addition to the kitchen, where a lot of cooking is done, the bathroom is also important, as it is a symbol of relaxation and cleanliness. “In order to have nice air in the bathroom, you first need to clean it properly,” says the expert, adding that bad odors are mainly caused by drains in showers and sinks, where trapped hair and soap scum accumulate.
“Try to clean them continuously, for example with a bell. Once a month, flush the drain with a mixture of ½ cup baking soda and ½ cup vinegar. Pour the mixture down the drain and let it work for about 30 minutes. Then pour a few liters of hot water and the problem should be gone.
Make a diffuser
In order to feel good and fresh in the bathroom, make a diffuser that will last you a long time. How to do it: Take a tall bottle (you can easily use a “canner”). Pour alcohol and almond oil in a ratio of 2:3. Add 15 drops of lavender and 25 drops of grapefruit oil to the mixture. Then dip bamboo or rattan sticks into the mixture and let them slowly soak in the fragrant contents. Then turn the sticks over and let the scent gradually release into the space…
Try an odor absorber
The bathroom is damp and sometimes musty. You can avoid this inconvenience if you put baking soda (or baking powder) in a bowl and drop a little of your favorite essential oil on it. The white powder prevents odors and the essential oil pleasantly freshens the air.
Magic with the toilet
If you have a bathroom connected to a toilet, you can use another trick that will scent your toilet. Just put a few drops of your favorite essential oil in the center of a toilet paper roll. When you roll the toilet paper from the dispenser, the fragrance will be released beautifully. It’s simple, cheap and effective. Try it too!
